Chain stitch, slip stitch, single crochet, double crochet, crossed double crochet (follow the pattern instructions).
Invisible closing for working a round in single crochet (closing A): After working the last stitch of a round, slightly pull up the working loop. Remove the hook and insert it (from back to front) under 2 bars (“V” shaped) that shape the top of the first stitch of the round. Insert the hook into the working loop and pull it through 2 top bars of the first stitch (from front to back). Remove the hook again. While holding the working loop with the fingers of your left hand, insert the hook under the horizontal strands to the right of the working loop, yarn over and pull through a loop. Hook the held loop, yarn over, and pull through 2 loops on the hook. There is one loop on the crochet-hook: it’s the closing loop. It does not count as a stitch but only raises the work (like the beginning chain of a round). Therefore, the first sc of the round is worked in the same base stitch as the closing loop.
Invisible closing for working a round in double crochet (closing B): close the round with 1 sl st, then work one standing double crochet (instead of 3 ch that substitute the first double crochet). Remove the hook from the working loop, move the yarn over the hook and then insert the hook into the working loop (the yarn is behind the loop), insert the hook into the same base st of the slip stitch again, yarn over and pull one loop (there are 3 loops on the crochet-hook), yarn over and pull it through 2 loops on the crochet-hook (there are 2 loops on the crochet-hook), remove the hook from 2 loops and insert it (from front) into the same 2 loops again, then turn the crochet-hook (from right to left) twisting the 2 loops so that the second loop becomes the first on the hook, yarn over andpull it through 2 loops closing the standing double crochet. There is one loop on the crochet-hook. This standing double crochet is the first st of the round; then continue like usually.
Invisible bind off: After last single crochet, fasten off leaving a 12–15 cm tail. Thread the darning needle, insert from back to front under both V-shaped-bars of top of first single crochet, then into center of top of last single crochet, to the back. Pull to form a fake stitch. Weave in end on WS.
Romanian point lace cord: chain 2, leaving a long tail, insert the hook into the 2nd ch from hook (slightly turning the ch bottom-up), yarn over and pull through a loop, yarn over and pull through 2 loops on the hook, closing the sc, * slightly turn the lace cord from right to left and insert the hook through the couple of little side loops, yarn over and pull through 1 loop, yarn over and pull through 2 loops on the hook, closing the sc *, rep from ** until reaching the length indicated; close with 1 sl st. Cut the yarn leaving a long tail.

FINISHING

Flatten the bag, then using a SM, mark the center front and center back. Using the tails and darning needle, securely sew the ends of one handle to each side of the 18 central sc on the inner edge of the front of the bag, using the central SM as a reference point. Sew the ends of the second handle to each side of the 18 central sts on the inner edge of the back of the bag.
Weave in all yarn ends.

Work the bag in round from center of the base to the top and close the rounds with the invisible bind off. To make the instructions easier, in rounds where an invisible closing is required, this will be indicated simply as closing A or closing B (stitches used). At last, work the handles separately and sewn them to the top of the bag.
